Sydney is the most beautiful city in Australia, blessed with an abundance of natural and man-made wonders. Famous for its Harbour Bridge, Opera House and New Years Eve fireworks displays, Sydney is an International City that never slows down and yet it has a relaxed attitude about it. I wanted to capture the overall essence of Sydney and I decided to do this with a sunrise image which captured all of the elements that make Sydney unique in the best possible light. The colour is warm from the dawn light breaking through, there was a north westerly wind blowing in smoke from bush fires in the Blue Mountains National Park which added an orange/pink hue to the horizon. Sydney is waking to a new day and the possibilities are endless, dreams will be made and dreams will come to an end but the city moves on because the real essence behind all of the man-made beauty of this city is its people.
