Kata Tjuta is a spectacular mountain range made almost entirely of solid rock that rises sharply from the desert plain about 40km west of Uluru. What an amazing place this is and in the image I’ve tried to capture the essence of the location as much as possible. The desert oaks are plentiful in this area of the national park and provide a lose forest of trees that fills the plain in front of Kata Tjuta while the empty blue morning sky above helps the domes to stand out in bold relief. The ochre red colour of the domes comes through and the early morning light helps to soften them and make them look otherworldly. I don’t think any photo of Kata Tjuta could really do justice to this stunning location which has to be seen to be believed but with this image I’ve come as close as I possibly could and I guarantee that you will be more than satisfied with this stunning panorama hanging on your wall.
